Generation now: Today for tomorrow

Halle, 2022. A meeting of several youth groups and the police escalates on the central town square and ends in looting, arrests, and several people severely injured. This night will change the lives of 16-year-old Jana and her friends, a handful of climate and environmental activists that will become radicalized by the events. Things are set in motion, a dynamic of confrontation between the generations. And while they are confronted with the parents' double standards, each of the teenagers repeatedly has to answer these questions: What kind of world do I want to live in? And how far I am willing to go for it? Halle, 2023. When 17-year-old Luise accompanies her friend Vanessa to a meeting of an environmental activist group, she has no idea that this will completely change her life.
