The battle for the birds, in the skies over Israel

In the Jordan Rift Valley, men have been at war for more than half a century. A human drama that has led to an unprecedented ecological disaster, since almost all the migratory birds that used to take this unique passage between Europe, Asia and Africa have died. Against all odds and despite the persistent instability of this region, Israelis have mobilized to save biodiversity. Today, these women and men are fighting to protect the birds and bats and are successfully restoring the cycle of the great migration in the valley, one of the wonders of nature.
